You will be picked up from your hotel at around 08:30. The tour begins with a stop to explore the ruins at Tlos, one of the principal cities of Lycia, a thriving democratic federation of ancient cities located in what are today the Turkish provinces of Antalya and Mugla. Based on inscriptions discovered at the site, Tlos is believed to be the home of the Greek mythological warrior, Bellerophon, who mounted the winged horse Pegasus and flew off to slay the ferocious fire breathing Chimera in nearby Olympos. You'll no doubt marvel at the stunning view of the surrounding countryside from the summit of the hill where Tlos is located. The tour will stop for a cool drink at the peaceful Yakapark trout farm before heading off to Saklikent Canyon, at 18 kilometers long and with up to 300 meters of depth, it is one of the largest gorges in Europe and Asia. After lunch by the riverside, there will be plenty of time for you to explore the canyon and/or to relax in the cool and leafy shade at streamside. The tour will return to Fethiye in the early evening and you will be transferred to your hotel.
